The West Virginia Air National Guard has two main bases across the state located in Charleston and Martinsburg. They perform three unique missions training and preparing the citizen-airman to respond to the Governor of West Virginia for state emergencies or the call of the President in times of crisis.

As a member of the WVANG you are authorized to use Military Recreation Facilities around the world.
West Virginia state employees that serve in the Air Guard get 60 days military leave per year. Air Guard members also have exclusive access to distinctive auto plates.
