The Texas Air National Guard has five main bases across the state located in Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. They perform fourteen unique missions training and preparing the citizen-airman to respond to the Governor of Texas for state emergencies or the call of the President in times of crisis.
Texas State Benefits
Texas provides its Air Guard members with up to 100% tuition reimbursement and up to 6 hours per semester at state colleges and universities.
Texas Air Guard members enjoy excellent medical care while on active duty, and are provided with disability, survivor benefits, low-cost health and life insurance, and funeral expenses.
The Texas Veterans Land Bond Program provides low interest loans to Air Guard members looking to buy land or a house, or to fund home improvements. Air Guard members also have exclusive access to distinctive auto plates. Texas state employees that serve in the Air Guard get 15 days military leave per year.
