Nevada

The Nevada Air National Guard has two main bases across the state located in Indian Springs and Reno. They perform five unique missions training and preparing the citizen-airman to respond to the Governor of Nevada for state emergencies or the call of the President in times of crisis.

    The State of Nevada offers its Air National Guard members up to 100% tuition waiver at state colleges and universities for Fall/Spring semesters and up to 100% reimbursement for the Summer session. The State also offers up to 100% textbook reimbursement for Fall/Spring/Summer sessions.

    Nevada state employees that serve in the Air Guard get 15 days paid military leave per year. Nevada Guard members also have exclusive access to distinctive auto plates, receive a property tax exemption, and are eligible for credit union membership.

    Nevada has no state income tax so Air Guard members pay no state taxes.
