159th Fighter Wing

The 159th Fighter Wing, nicknamed ""The Bayou Militia,"" is operationally gained and supported by the Air Combat Command. This trained force of more than 1500 men and women has proudly served the United States in almost every conflict in America's history. The 159th FW is an Air Guard fighter unit located at NAS New Orleans. The 159th FW is tasked with providing air superiority over Louisiana and the Gulf Coast while supporting USNORTHCOM and NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command).

214th Engineering Installation Squadron

The 214th Engineering Installation Squadron operates out of Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base. Located in New Orleans, Louisiana, the mission of the 214th Engineering Installation Squadron includes the Engineering and Installation mission.
