At Bradley Air National Guard Base, we focus on Air Mobility, a mission that delivers global air transportation of equipment and supplies during times of war and for peacetime training exercises. This includes providing safe, comfortable and reliable transportation of military personnel or dignitaries anywhere in the world.
Known as the "Flying Yankees," the 103rd Airlift Wing is the third-oldest Air National Guard unit in the country, with a history dating back to World War I. The 103rd AW is based in East Granby, Bradley International Airport. The Wing's mission is to provide cargo and passenger airlift utilizing our C-130 Hercules aircraft, one of the true workhorses of the Air National Guard inventory. The 103rd is continually recruiting, training, and pushing toward the future.
