The Arkansas Air National Guard has two units across the state located in Fort Smith and Jacksonville. They perform six unique missions to provide trained and ready units responsive to the Governor of Arkansas for state emergencies or to the call of the President in times of crisis.
Arkansas State Benefits
Many Arkansas institutions of higher learning have agreed to waive from 25 - 100% of tuition costs for members of the National Guard. $2,500 per Spring and Fall semester is available through the Guard Tuition Incentive Program to qualfied enlisted members enrolled full-time as defined by their college. Members on orders for 180 days or more, are eligible for up to $4,500 a year tuition assistance towards a degree or a certification.
Arkansas state employees who join the Air National Guard receive 15 days paid military leave per year and 30 days paid leave upon activation. Arkansas Air National Guard members have exclusive access to distinctive auto plates, absolutely free.
