An Aerospace Medical Service career in the Air Guard is one of the most exciting choices you can make. You'll assist doctors and nurses in a wide variety of situations, providing a combination of LPN and EMT skills. You could be called upon to do everything from drawing blood to assisting in delivering newborn babies to caring for wounded soldiers and airmen during aeromedical evacuation. You'll be directly involved in the care and treatment of patients, including measuring and recording vital signs, administering medications, and prepping patients for surgery. You'll undergo training that will help prepare you to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician's examination, which could lead to an exciting career in the civilian world.
