ANG members can enjoy military membership with all the added stability and benefits that put an excellent quality of life within reach.

Compensation: Air Guard members receive monthly paychecks for their service, as well as a number of other pecuniary benefits. Whether your interest lies in Health Professions, Engineering, or Administration, enlisting in certain career fields may make you eligible for enlistment bonuses or other incentives. Members can rely on insurance coverage, and those choosing to contribute can take advantage of Thrift Savings as well. Upon accomplishing the necessary years of service and age requirements, you will be eligible to receive retirement benefits, and all of your previous military time will count towards it.

Education: Joining the ANG can also help further your education. The Montgomery GI Bill SR (Select Reserves) grants financial assistance to those pursuing their degrees, and can even assist with the cost of flying lessons. Most states offer college tuition programs, but as these benefits do vary from state to state, be sure to ask your recruiter about the benefits available to you, or you can preview them by selecting your state from the drop down box below.
