Training

Individuals joining the Air Guard attend the same basic training and technical school as the Unites States Air Force. Basic Military Training (BMT) lasts approximately 7 weeks and is accomplished at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Watch this video to see what Basic Military Training is all about:

Once a person graduates Basic Military Training, they are sent to one of our Technical Training Centers to receive classroom instruction and partake in hands-on training, allowing our new members to gain experience and build confidence in their new job field.
