Mission

AOC Augmentation Mission: The mission of AOC augmentation units is to provide a cadre of experienced personnel in key duty positions. The units are MANFOR only and have a home-station Initial Training Capability (ITC) equipment suite for training purposes. The units provide representation across the five core divisions within the AOC as well as some of the key enablers. The units will be aligned to a specific AOR but will be able to support all AORs during a large scale conflict. Since legacy AOC augmentation units didn’t have Air Mobility Division (AMD) representation resident within their unit, select units will now have an AMD capability as well.

AOC Mission: The mission of the AOC is to develop the strategy, plans, and Command and Control (C2) processes to successfully employ air, space and information forces to achieve desired effects in support of JFC campaign objectives. The AOC is responsible for accomplishing strategy development, operational level assessment, detailed planning, target development, weaponeering/allocation, ATO production, and force execution functions. The AOC must work closely with the AFFOR staff across all mission areas to ensure proper integration of mission execution and service support functions.
